daily devoitonal: July 3 - Daily Devotional - The Lord Lifts You Up - 06/28/21 08:01 PM
Psalm 40:2
“He lifts me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.”

The Lord delights in lifting people up, calling them back, and helping them get started on their path.  The world brings to us and those around us so much potential for struggle.  Many people do find their self in a pit.  It could be relationships, health, finances, mindset, emotions and so on but often there is an area that people feel stuck in.

Getting out of this stuck place or this pit is … (1 comments)

daily devoitonal: June 4 - Daily Devotional - Who Can You Serve? - 06/02/21 04:33 PM
Mark 9:35
“If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant to all.”

As we focus on making our lives better what we are truly doing that for is so that we can be of service to others.  To truly live the amazing life that you desire for yourself and the life that God desires for you is for you to take your skills, passions and abilities to help and serve others.

What we do is not about us.  The voice of encouragement you have been hearing that has been guiding you is so you don’t only see … (1 comments)

daily devoitonal: May 14 - Daily Devotional - Expecting Good In Your Day - 05/14/21 07:11 AM
Psalm 5:3
“In the morning, O Lord, You hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.”

Is there a better way to start your day then having a conversation with GOD!  As you look back on the last few days of your inspirational and spiritual studies and as you continue to grow in your trust of the promises that the Lord has for you; wait in expectation that your desires are known and heard by God!  I WAIT IN JOYFUL EXPECTATION AND RECEIVE ALL THE ABUNDANT GOOD GOD HAS FOR ME TODAY!

What a gift to … (0 comments)

daily devoitonal: May 9 - Daily Devotional - Let Your Light Shine - 05/08/21 08:47 PM
Matthew 5:14-16
“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put in on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven.”

Your God given desires ignite a light within you. To fully see them come to pass you will need the courage and confidence to put them on display by moving forward and taking steps from … (0 comments)

daily devoitonal: May 8- Daily Devotional - Believe in Gods Best For You - 05/08/21 05:36 AM
Matthew 7:11
“If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask them.”

Being a child of God has its benefits. If you were taught it was a burden to follow God remember the new covenant with Christ took that away. Jesus died to remove that separation.  The evil or sin that people often do now, is the evil of wrong thinking.  NOT believing in Gods best. Worrying, doubting, fearing that our troubles will overtake us and something less than Gods best … (0 comments)

daily devoitonal: April 19 - Daily Devotional - Blessed are the Poor in Spirit - 04/18/21 12:37 PM
Matthew 5:3-4
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted.”

The realization that you are blessed where ever you are at in life will be the start of taking you higher.  You may have realized this much earlier this year or in years prior due to your devotion to following the Lord and seeking the promises of God!  Yet, with so many people still hurting there is a need to connect them too with Christ, the source of life!

Someone who is “poor in spirit” shows humility.  And wherever … (1 comments)

daily devoitonal: April 5- Daily Devotional - Freed To Do Great Things - 04/03/21 09:28 AM
2 Timothy 1:9
“He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because anything we have done but because of his own grace and purpose.”

Receive the grace daily. Don’t let your past hold you back from your dreams, desires, and destiny. Yes, you may have an off day or a slip up every so often but you are human.  Continue to access the divinity in you as an overcoming power to possess the promises and purposes God has for you.

You have been saved, you are transforming, and you have made progress in the life God has for you!  Holy life … (0 comments)

daily devoitonal: March 29 - Daily Devotional - God's Workmanship, Created In Christ - 03/27/21 07:20 PM
Ephesians 2:10
“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

When I think of God’s workmanship, I see it as something that it is a work in progress!  Meaning you and I are a work in progress.  That is why there are some bumps along the road.  Yet God has prepared his promises for us in advance so they are available to walk in!  When you were born and as you have grown in life you have preferences that have shaped your desires and as your desires merge with … (1 comments)

daily devoitonal: March 28 - Daily Devotional - Being Transformed into His Likeness - 03/27/21 06:51 PM
2 Corinthians 3:18
“And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”

As you continue to stay in the word of the Lord and walk in his way in all you do it becomes more automatic that you will reflect the Lord’s glory naturally.  When you are following your hearts desires and using your talents and gifts to the best of your abilities to serve people in the best possible way then there is more ease in your life.  The Spirit working in … (0 comments)

daily devoitonal: February 15 - Daily Devotional - No One Is Too Far Gone For God - 02/15/21 05:45 AM
Acts 20:23-24
“I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me.  However, I consider my life work nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace.”

Paul was so committed to Christ Jesus and spreading the gospel that he put that before all else.  The Lord showed Paul great grace, as Paul was originally going around having Christians stone or thrown in jail.  Imagine the turn around with that situation.  In the world … (0 comments)

daily devoitonal: February 14 - Daily Devotional -Do The Right Thing With Grace and Love - 02/12/21 06:41 AM
Proverbs 24:25
“But it will go well with those who convict the guilty, and rich blessings will come upon them.”

What do you do when you see right before your eyes something that is not right in a worldly way or in a spiritual way?  Should we sit quiet like its not happening? Is it judgmental to point it out?  It really depends on the situation.  Is someone intentionally harming, or disrespecting a person or property?  Or does the personal action or situation simply not line up with your understanding or moral compass?

Its another fine line and there is a time you can … (0 comments)

daily devoitonal: February 13- Daily Devotional - Faith Expressing Itself Through Love - 02/12/21 06:35 AM
Galatians 5:6
“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.”

Over the years religion has in a lot of ways lost touch with Christ.  We likely don’t fight a whole lot now about circumcision vs uncircumcision and whether that makes you more or less spiritual worthy.  However, a lot of religion is about pointing out flaws and comparing what “religious” way is the better way.  We have came a long ways, but we still need to make a lot of progress in how we judge rightly, or not judge … (0 comments)

daily devoitonal: February 9 - Daily Devotional - Chosen To Be Out Of The World - 02/09/21 10:05 AM
John 15:18-19
“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.  If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own.  As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.”

If the world seems to beat you up for your faith, if you have worldly struggles and sufferings; its a sure sign that its pointing you to the Christ Power with in you as your ultimate victory over and out of the situation.  When going through the challenges it … (0 comments)

daily devoitonal: February 4 - Daily Devotional - Pulled From Darkness Into Light - 02/04/21 08:24 AM
Ephesians 5:8-9
“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord.”

Remember where you came from in this process. For most people they were pulled out of darkness in one way or another into the light!  There are people you will encounter on your path that are part of the body of Christ that simple don’t know that yet.  Thus, we are called to be children of light!  Shine your light so others can … (2 comments)

daily devoitonal: January 20 - Daily Devotional - We Are Not Here To Judge The World - 01/15/21 09:30 AM
John 12:41
“As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge them. For I did not come to judge this world, but to save it.”

If Jesus did not come to judge a person that hears his word and does not keep them, then its not our place to judge either.  We are around people and situations all the time and the world has taught us to judge.  Jesus said its up to the one who sent him to be the Judge.  And God is  full of grace and love; he is slow to anger … (2 comments)

daily devoitonal: January 16 - Daily Devotional - Be Prepared To Share Your Faith - 01/15/21 08:39 AM
2 Timothy 4:2
“Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.”

Most people do not see their self as a preacher.  In fact many of the messages would suggest not to preach, correct, or rebuke.  However, if you have the gift of preaching then preach.  If you are able to with great patience and careful instruction to correct and rebuke then feel free to do so.  Do what the Spirit is leading you to do at the appointed time.  If its a gift or a need you have don’t hold back.  … (0 comments)

daily devoitonal: January 12 - Daily Devotional - Both Ways At War Within - 01/11/21 04:24 AM
Romans 7:21-23
“So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.  For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members.”

Why spend time looking at the inner conflicts we face daily?  I believe that awareness of what can be happening within us at anytime gives us the ability to overcome our inner struggles. We can all … (0 comments)

daily devoitonal: January 3 - Daily Devotional - Parable of the Sower -1 - 01/03/21 06:17 AM
Matthew 13:3-4
Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed.  As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path and the birds came and ate it up.”

We will look at this parable for the next few days.  As the scripture mentions Jesus taught many things in parables.  One of my favorite is the parable of the sower. I have heard several different explanations of these verses.

Looking at this verse the birds of the air show us that sometimes the word is put forth to someone or some situation and it … (1 comments)

daily devoitonal: December 31 - Daily Devotional - Judge Fairly - 12/30/20 04:41 AM
Proverbs 31:8-9
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.  Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”

One of the greatest ways you can show love for other people and perhaps other people you don’t even know is to speak up for those that can not speak for themselves.  The world has become a better place, and yet we have a long ways to go. There are still plenty of injustices that should not be happening.  However, its people from the past and present that have stepped up … (1 comments)
