january daily devotional: Jan. 31 - Daily Devotional - The Lord Is Good To Those Who Hope In Him - 01/26/21 07:29 AM
Lamentations 3:25-26
“The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”

We face challenging situations from time to time in our life whether its with our health, finances, relationships or something along those lines. We have challenging people in our lives that can test us.  Where is your hope when it comes to dealing with these situations.  Has forcing things in a worldly way led to a sustaining results in the past?

january daily devotional: January 30 - Daily Devotional - Should You Correct a "Mocker"? - 01/26/21 07:23 AM
Proverbs 9:7-8
“Whoever corrects a mocker invites insult; whoever rebukes a wicked man incurs abuse.  Do not rebuke a mocker or he will hate you; rebuke a wise man and he will love you.”

Hopefully after yesterdays reading you did pray and consider how to approach the mockers in your life.  As this scripture points out it’s not likely that you can correct them or rebuke them and get a positive response.  I do believe there is a way to bring them higher, but it may not be going out right this moment and doing anything.

Often its letting anything they say or do … (0 comments)

january daily devotional: January 29 - Daily Devotional - Being a "Mocker" Is Not A Blessed Way - 01/26/21 07:15 AM
Proverbs 22:10
“Drive out the mocker, and out goes strife; quarrels and insults are ended.”

In the world you will find plenty of people who mock, ridicule and scorn.  There may have been times or still currently are times where you or someone close to you fall into this trap.  Anytime there is a big political election it seems like the mocker comes out in a nasty way in a lot of people.

Being a mocker as Proverbs refers to it - is not God’s way of being.  In fact it is asking you to drive out the mocker and then strife, quarrels and … (0 comments)

january daily devotional: January 28 - Daily Devotional - Who Are You Seeking For Wisdom? - 01/26/21 07:09 AM
2 Chronicles 9:23
“All the kings of the earth sought audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom God had put in his heart.

Today in the world it’s very interesting who people seek out.  Some do seek spiritual leaders. Some seek business or life coaches.  Others look up to athletes, actors, or musicians as their role models.  There are many people who don’t have a great role model in their life and need one.

In Solomon’s time it said all the kings of the earth sought him out to hear God’s wisdom.  In current times there are people that have great wisdom.  Those people … (1 comments)

january daily devotional: January 27 - Daily Devotional - See Everyone With High Value - 01/23/21 07:14 PM
2 Chronicles 9:8
“Praise be to the Lord your God, who has delighted in you and placed you on his throne as king to rule for the Lord your God.  Because of the love of your God for Israel and his desire to uphold them forever, he has made you king over them, to maintain just and righteousness.”

The Queen of Sheba had heard about King Solomon but it took her to visit with him and hear the wisdom of God and the King on his throne to appreciate it.  Which led her to give praise God based on all that she took … (1 comments)

january daily devotional: January 26 - Daily Devotional - Use Your Gifts To Bring Glory To God - 01/23/21 07:08 PM
Revelation 19:10
At this I fell at his feet to worship him.  But he said to me, “Do not do it!  I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus.  Worship God!  For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

You are continuing to expand your faith and knowledge of the things of God. You are looking at heavenly ways to live your life!  We worship God!  We can thank angels who help us!  We can be that angel who helps someone else, and in the end we point to … (1 comments)

january daily devotional: January 25 - Daily Devotional - Give Part of Your Life To Help Others - 01/23/21 07:02 PM
Revelation 19:9
Then the angel said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!”  And he added, “These are the true words of God.”

You too likely hear a voice calling to you and instructing you.  It could be that whisper you get in those quiet times of thought. I may be an idea that someone suggests or that you read about.  Its likely something that resonates with the spirit in you.  Something that gets your heart pumping and you mind spinning knowing that you can make an impact.  What is that for you?

january daily devotional: January 24 - Daily Devotional - You Are Gifted To Help - 01/23/21 06:57 PM
1 John 3:18-19
“Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.  This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence…”

Is there any unrest in your heart.  Some of the unrest could come from fear, doubt or worry and those are things that our faith can overcome.  I know sometimes there is that doubt that what we do makes a difference.  I know there is that fear that if we step out into our anointing what if we fail.  The truth … (3 comments)

january daily devotional: January 23 - Daily Devotional - What Need Can You Fill Today? - 01/20/21 06:08 PM
1 John 3:16-17
“This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.  And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.  If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?”

There is very likely someone you will see or hear from that has a need that you can help with today.  It might be as simple as someone homeless that you pass by that you slip a bill to. It might be paying for the person behind … (1 comments)

january daily devotional: January 22 - Daily Devotional -You Have An Anointing From The Holy One - 01/20/21 06:03 PM
1 John 2:20-21
“But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.  I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because no lie comes from the truth.”

As we grow in truth and love looking to serve where we are called, anointed, and needed we are with our actions acknowledging Christ.  It’s not to say that we deny Christ outright by not moving forward in our anointing, but certainly if we stay in worldly distractions vs choosing to use what we have to serve, bless, and love others with - … (0 comments)

january daily devotional: January 21 - Daily Devotional - Let Us Do Good To All People - 01/20/21 05:56 PM
Galatians 6:10
“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”

Each day is another opportunity to do good to all people.  Chances are you are most likely to do good to the people you know, the ones in your circle, the ones who belong to the family of believers.  This as you know is perfectly fine and encouraged!  Its good to also do good to those who can’t repay you and to those you may not know or only encounter once.

Build your life in such a way that you … (0 comments)

january daily devotional: January 20 - Daily Devotional - We Are Not Here To Judge The World - 01/15/21 09:30 AM
John 12:41
“As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge them. For I did not come to judge this world, but to save it.”

If Jesus did not come to judge a person that hears his word and does not keep them, then its not our place to judge either.  We are around people and situations all the time and the world has taught us to judge.  Jesus said its up to the one who sent him to be the Judge.  And God is  full of grace and love; he is slow to anger … (2 comments)

january daily devotional: January 19 - Daily Devotional - Wisdom Yields Patience - 01/15/21 09:01 AM
Proverbs 19:11
“A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.”

Our patience get tested by people, situations and challenges.  Has you learn and grow in the truth of God you add to your understanding and wisdom.  As you hang around different people, with their unique challenges you can learn from what they are going through as well.  Each one of us have had times of testing, challenges and sometimes they have caused us to lose our patience.

As we continue to grow in the Lord and learn how to understand ourselves and others better we will get better … (0 comments)

january daily devotional: January 18 - Daily Devotional - Lift Up Others That You Are Around - 01/15/21 08:52 AM
Matthew 9:10-11
While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and “sinners” came and ate with him and his disciples.  When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why dos your teacher eat with tax collectors and ‘sinners’?”

Chances are anytime you sit with friends or family to eat you would be sitting with a “sinner” in the eyes of the Pharisees.  Today the Pharisees we have in our life would be the people going around judging others for what they do.  Pointing out their flaws, shortcomings and sins.

Jesus sat and ate with the “sinners” of his time because … (0 comments)

january daily devotional: January 17 -Daily Devotional - The Head, Not The Tail - 01/15/21 08:45 AM
Deuteronomy 28:13
“The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow hem, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.”

One of the interesting things about life is that many people are “trying to make it to the top.”  We see this in business, in athletics, or other areas that are achievement driven.  Did you realize that if you pay attention the the commands of the Lord you will always be at the top?  What does that really … (0 comments)

january daily devotional: January 16 - Daily Devotional - Be Prepared To Share Your Faith - 01/15/21 08:39 AM
2 Timothy 4:2
“Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.”

Most people do not see their self as a preacher.  In fact many of the messages would suggest not to preach, correct, or rebuke.  However, if you have the gift of preaching then preach.  If you are able to with great patience and careful instruction to correct and rebuke then feel free to do so.  Do what the Spirit is leading you to do at the appointed time.  If its a gift or a need you have don’t hold back.  … (0 comments)

january daily devotional: January 13- Daily Devotional - Christs' Power Alive Within - 01/11/21 04:31 AM
Romans 8:9-10
“You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.  But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.”

The Spirit of God does live in you and that will help aid you in you ability to overcome your inner struggles and overcome your outer struggles.  Most people are going through some sort of struggle.  Some are larger, some are happening now, … (0 comments)
