Minnesota Real Estate has been hot in 2016! Now that the weather is finally warming up I do expect the market to stay hot through much of the summer and into the fall potentially! I do think prices will start to level off overall soon!

Its been a very ACTIVE first 9 days of March! March is my favorite month. Its my birthday month, I love the college basketball tournaments and its the month we start to get a taste of Spring in Minnesota. March for Real Estate in the Minnesota Real Estate market most often means increased activity. Wow! This month the activity is off the charts so far. I started the month with 5 straight days with an accepted offer. At this point we are waiting to get through the inspection on one of them, but the other 4 are good to go. … (4 comments)

The trend continues with the number of listings done once again and overall the inventory is noted at 21,930 listings for sale. That's the lowest I can remember for a while. Buyers are still out there at a lot stronger force then they were a year ago as well. Can the purchases stay strong the last two months of the year? My feeling is that this is going to be a key time for investors to buy. The holiday season is a great time to get a deal so don't be shy this time of year! Below is more data taken from the MPLS Association of Realtors on some of the market stats. Again the trend is the same. Listings are down from last year (a good thing) and pending sales are up (a good thing). Probably the only thing that seems slightly negative is Days on the Market is up about 5-6%. Part of that might be that there are a lot of short sales that stay listed as Active for long periods of time. Below is more good news for the Minnesota Real Estate Market. Typically the winter months are slower. Less sellers list homes and less buyers are active. If buyer activity is higher then normally I feel that next Spring we will see price increases in some areas, prrices stabilizing in other areas. Again, like I have stated before, the prices are not going to jump up but the market is likely at the bottom zone right now.
