Today will driving through a couple of local neighborhoods the “PRICE REDUCED” sign riders caught my attention.  In an area where some houses seem to fly off the market and others languish it made me wonder what do buyers think when they pull up in front of a house with the “PRICE REDUCED” rider front and center.
The first questions that popped into my mind were:
Was the house originally overpriced?
Wonder if the seller is desperate?
Is the house in poor condition?
What is the listing agent doing?

There were a bit of twists and turns in getting this property to closing. No problem with appraisal but the discovery of a septic system in the "wrong" place caused a few delays while we dealt with Prince William County officials.

There are a number of ways to make your home stand out in today's market.  One of them is to make it noticeable to everyone that drives by.  Honestly every time I pass this home it makes me smile.  I have no idea what the neighbors think but since it is on a street lined with eclectic homes I'm sure they don't even notice.If you are thinking of putting your home on the market in the near future you may want to forego the bright pink paint and consider instead some more traditional methods of getting your home ready to sell.
