west springfield neighborhoods: Charlestown Townhouses in West Springfield-There's a Surpise Inside - 10/22/11 12:34 PM
They say that fine wine ages well. The same thing can be said for the townhouse neighborhood of Charlestown in West Springfield. Maybe it is the all brick construction or the tree lined streets that make it standout from other area neighborhoods. It might even be the residents of the neighborhood who have a strong home owners association which even maintains the exterior of the townhouses. But whatever the combination it has worked well for 40 years.Anytime you read an MLS description for a Charlestown townhouse you will find out about the surprise inside. The first is the "dramatic curved staircase." … (8 comments)

Buyers and owners like the Charlestown neighborhood in West Springfield for it's all brick townhouses, proximity to transportation and nearby shopping. However my client's daughter liked it because it was the first place she had ever seen where popcorn grew on trees.Everyone has their reasons for liking a neighborhood to call home. As Realtors® we have to listen to what our clients like and work to help them find the place that feels right. If my client's daughter has her way the neighborhood with the popcorn trees will be the one that her parents call home. If your family has a … (26 comments)

west springfield neighborhoods: Enjoy Classic Colonial Style in West Springfield's Charlestown Community - 07/26/10 02:25 AM

Tucked just off the intersection of two major roads in West Springfield is the neighborhood of Charlestown.  With tree lined streets, community parks and easy access to shopping and commuter routes, this neighborhood is well worth checking out.
Most descriptions of the townhomes in Charlestown talk about the "dramatic curved staircases" which greet you when you open the front door.  What they don't tell you is how much space the townhomes have to offer.  There are a variety of models to choose from and the largest models the Concord and the Hermitage offer close to 2600 SF with a first … (6 comments)

west springfield neighborhoods: Springfield (VA) Greentree Village is More Than Just Bricks and Mortar - 11/01/09 12:04 AM
Greentree Village is what you might expect to see in a community in Fairfax County, Virginia. Located in West Springfield, the neighborhood seems typical of many in the area. Brick front townhouses backing to trees and grassy islands slow traffic down for the kids to be able to play safely. Across the street from the neighborhood is one of the 380 parks maintained by the Fairfax County Park Authority. A Fairfax County Connector bus stop is at the entrance to the neighborhood, within 15 minutes is the Springfield Metro, the Rolling Valley and Sydenstricker Slug Lines are all close by as … (10 comments)

west springfield neighborhoods: Orange Hunt Estates-Marketing Report and Community Profile - 06/09/09 04:08 AM
One of the great things about having lived in Northern Virginia a good part of my life is getting to know communities from a variety of perspectives.  Growing up it was watching homes being built and having friends who moved into the neighborhood.  Then as a homeowner my children attend Orange Hunt Elementary school and now as a Realtor® showing and selling houses in the same neighborhood.
Orange Hunt Estates is a neighborhood that has always attracted military families due to its great commuting location to Fort Belvoir, the Pentagon and the other Military District of Washington installations.  View a complete Orange Hunt Estates Community … (0 comments)

The wildlife is just one reason that make Saratoga a neighborhood that stays on the list of sought after West Springfield neighborhoods.

west springfield neighborhoods: Insiders Guide-Five Year Sales History in Saratoga (West Springfield VA) - 04/03/09 10:10 PM
Tracking the sales history of various West Springfield (VA) neighborhoods closely is important for me to be able to provide advice to buyers and sellers.  Since we have just completed the first quarter of real estate sales for 2009, trying to predict whether this year will see an increase or decrease in sales volume for the entire year seems premature. It is also important to consider that not all neighborhoods or zip codes trend up or down at the same time. This week after previewing a number of properties for a family with an upcoming tour to Fort Belvoir  I compiled the last five years of sales … (6 comments)

Greentree Village is what you might expect to see in a community in Fairfax County, Virginia. Located in West Springfield, the neighborhood seems typical of many in the area. With only 124 brick front townhouses backing to trees it is a one of the smaller townhouse neighborhoods in the area but it is well maintained by the HOA.
