The local Osprey in Belmont Bay were asked if they would like to share their fresh catch to celebrate Integrity Real Estate Group's latest sale in Belmont Bay.
Fortunately the Osprey are faster and high enough in the tree that they have no worries about anyone stealing their catch. Their new neighbor on Ferry Landing Lane will be keeping an eye on them as the young Osprey prepare to take off soon to fly south for the fall and winter.

Today was closing day on another Belmont Bay condo. The unit in Harborview was listed on May 2 for $335,000. We were under contract in 10 days and closed for the list price with a seller contribution of $4,000.
The buyer has been renting in the building for the last 6 months and lives across the hall. Moving is a matter of opening one door and tossing belongings into the new home. Okay that wouldn't work out very well but you get the idea.

For some reason when I took this photo I thought of the helicopter drones often seen flying in the parking lot in Belmont Bay. In this case of course the drone is a dragonfly who landed perfectly on leaf floating in the golf course pond.

Driving home tonight I spied this rainbow over the Belmont Bay marina. Fortunately my camera was in the car and a number of my neighbors were out enjoying this sight as well. After a long gray rainy day the rainbow was a welcome sight. Just another good reason why Belmont Bay is a great place to call home.

Though there are harder hit areas along the east coast of the US from both Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee, Northern Virginia hasn't escaped the rath of the storm. This morning I decided to head out to take a look at Occcoquan River to see how she was faring with all of the rain.
The historic Town of Occoquan was flooded last night from Balliwick Creek (not the river itself) overflowing but fortunately this morning the water had receded from the streets. However the Occoquan River is still raging and with it still raining everyone is on high alert.
