Every year on Thanksgiving after saying grace, while eating our feast, my family takes turns expressing what we are each thankful for that year. I was reflecting on what I will be saying this year. It has not been an easy year for most of us; the economy really continues to be a challenge. Still I have more to be thankful for then I might have first thought.
I have a wonderful family, a beautiful caring daughter who is becoming a responsible young adult, sisters who are my best friends, nephews and nieces who are now adults, getting married, starting careers … (4 comments)

home design suffolk county: Repurpose Old TV Armoire

Now that we are all buying flat screen TVs, those old TV armoires need a new purpose. You can reuse them a lot of different ways, a hidden home office, or craft center spring to mind. I took one and turned it into a home bar. I really don't like to add to the landfills, so repurposing furniture is a goal of mine. I took this old TV armoire, took off the doors, installed a simple back and tiled it with peel and stick floor tiles, added some under the counter glass racks from the bath and kitchen shop, added wine … (26 comments)
