I received a Christmas card in the mail today from a wonderful young couple I sold a house to last week. It was a photo card and one of the three photos on the card was of them sitting in front of my yard sign (sold sign on it) with my face and phone number on it. I called them and told them how surprised I was and they went on to say they are going to do everything in their power to make sure everyone knows I'm the best Realtor in the Tri-Cities! Love this!!!

We just recently got back from a vacation in Cape Cod. In our condo there was a picture hanging on the wall. I looked at this picture all week long and tried to deceiver what it said. I had finally decided that it was just an eye test and nothing more. How could it mean anything, I couldn't find it to say anything. Than out of the blue, my daughter walks into the room and reads out loud, exactly what it said/read. I looked at her, looked at the picture, and it was plain as day what it said. I've got the videos down, I think. I still need a little help with voice. I have picked up an external microphone I want (Rode), hopefully I'll have that in my arsenol in a week. I do believe that will make a huge difference.

This morning brought us rain. lots of it! When life brings you rain, look for a photo shoot! This is the sundial in my garden. It is actually an urn. I know, sounds morbid, but it really isn't. When my husband passed 5 years ago, we wanted to have a special place to put his ashes. You wouldn't believe how many cool and interesting urns are out there. This one spoke to us, and we love it. Yes President Regan would have been 100 years old. That is a long time. He was a strong, honorable President, and a great man as well.
Back in 1992 he spoke in Charlotte, North Carolina. The building that he spoke in (then, Nation's Bank Building-tallest building in the Southeast) was home to the Restaurant that I managed- Bistro 100. President Regan and his staff were housed in our restaurant before he went out on stage. He was such a nice man. We drove into Starbucks this morning for a little caffeine pick me up. Our bill at the drive through order screen was $6.84. This is a question that is asked over and over, yet it is an important question and probably has many variations to the answer. What is it?
"Should I paint and re-do my carpet before I sell, or leave it as is?"
This is different for every house. A lot of this depends on what you owe on the house versus what the current market value is? What is your "as-is" value compared to your "refurbished" value? How bad is the paint and carpet?

Another great question asked by a new buyer coming to town. Johnson City Tennessee school system is top notch. It is one of those great benefits that go along with living in this amazing community. Our 2010 report card was recently released and I would like to point out some highlights.
* Academic progress on the TCAP achievement tests for grades 3-8, exceeded state performance in every area.

Hi Cindy! I have a quick question you might be able to answer for me if you don't mind. We are wondering if it is possible to roll over our Roth IRA mutual funds and buy a rental house with no penalties. Is that something that is done? Thanks!

My seller has replaced all their windows in their 1940's house. It was needed, way past due. At our listing appointment yesterday they asked me if they could write the investment off on their taxes. I had replaced windows a couple years back and was pretty sure you could write off a portion of them, however, I had to let them know, I would get back with them! And I did.

I just read a blog post on goal setting and I read one on cleaning up house hold debt. Both spoke to me personally. I am a huge component of both! In 2009 I set out on getting rid of credit card debt. Last New years I made a goal to pay off all my credit card debt by 1/1/2011.
