It's that time of year. No, not Thanksgiving. No, not Christmas. It's the Chicago Bears vs the Green Bay Packers! This coming weekend everything in Green Bay will come to a halt on Sunday from noon until about 3:30PM. The streets of Green Bay will be empty and the bars will be full. Unless you've experienced it, it's hard to describe. If you're planning on an open house, plan on talking to yourself. Taking out buyers, they must be from out of town. This should be interesting. This will be the first time since all this Wall St. mess that I've had an open house. Here in Green Bay, the success of our open houses are determined not by economic conditions but by when the Packer's play! If the Packers are playing at home, forget it. Lately the Packers have been losing. This is good for open houses but not so go for our tourism industry. This weekend the Packers play a late afternoon game in Seattle so we have a window of open house opportunity. People can still go to an open house … (0 comments)

We had our first open house today. I went over to my mom's a few hours early because there were a few finishing touches I wanted to complete. I am a stickler for details. I think the house looks fabulous. I wish I would have taken "before" pictures. I guess my brain was in lock and very overwhelmed at the time . We have a few more staging items to place but overall we are ready to rock and roll. We had four sets of people show up during the two hour open house.
