Speechless Sundays - A Colorful Way to Travel

I love a "little" color, so this retro RV caught my attention sitting outside of my office the other day.  I would love to have seen what it looked like inside, and how they had this vehicle set up.
Though I have to say, I wouldn't want to know about the gas mileage.

Riding in a Convertible Fire Truck - Speechless Sundays

We were at a classic car show in Costa Mesa when we spotted a convertible fire truck.  We were excited to pose with it when it got even better.  One of the firemen asked the boys if they wouldn't rather drive the fire truck.  What boy could resist? Especially, when it was made official with a helmet!

Hiding His Light Under the Blanket - Speechless Sundays

It seems that little ones find easy ways to entertain themselves with the simplest of objects.  Mine did climbing under the blanket to entertain themselves.  Fortunately for the adults, sometimes they manage to hold still long enough for us to grab a quick shot of them.

Big Smiles All the Way Around - Speechless Sundays

It is amazing how much joy the smile of a child can bring, and to have two such delighted and happy boys is one of the most amazing things I can imagine.  They are such a delight and brings so much light and laughter.

Walking in Daddy's Shoes - Speechless Sundays

It's amazing to think that one day these shoes will fit him or that he will need even larger ones.  For now, it's fun to watch him in shoes he has not yet grown to fill as I contemplete all the wonderful years until he does.

Speechless Sundays - Dressed Like Daddy

I liked playing dress up in my mom and my grandma's clothes.  These days, my little one likes to dress up like Daddy.  I guess it's just part of being a kid.  I'm just glad that I had a camera ready to capture the moment.

Speechless Sundays - Deep in the Force

The boys always seem to need new light sabers.  Maybe it's because they actually use them . . .

Still, as I watched him build a new one, it looked like he was deep in the Force as he used all of his concentration to build his new light saber.

Dancing in the Tulips - Speechless Sunday

When I saw these flowers on our trip back East, I just knew that we needed to add something to the photo.  After adding one kid, I decided just one wasn't sufficient.  What we actually needed was two kids in the picture. They just added a bit more cheeriness.

Palm Trees by the Dozens - Speechless Sundays

I remember someone asking me when I was younger if I wasn't amazed by the number of palm trees around me.  I'm not sure at that point that I had actually contemplated palm trees.  They were just always around.  However, sometimes I am amazed, and this was such a day.

Raise Your Hand if You're Cool - Speechless Sundays

My son is always a bit of a ham, and I never know quite what he is going to come up with.  Today, we were watching a Civil War reenactment, when there was a lull in the battle, and my son shouted, "Mom, take a picture" as he put on his latest pose.

"HANDS UP!" the masked man said - Speechless Sundays

We were riding the train at Knotts Berry Farm enjoying our day when the masked man entered our train car shouting, "HANDS UP!"  My son's eyes went wide as he raised his hands.  He knew it was part of the game, didn't he???

Four Wheelin', Flying, and Freedom - Speechless Sundays

There are just certain things that we don't get to do easily in California and taking the kids out four wheeling is one of them.  It's so much easier to do out on the Grandparents' farm.  No worries about traffic, other people, animals, etc.  Just plain fun!

Grammy and Pop Pop Said . . . Speechless Sundays

Grammy and Pop Pop said if I could reach the brake and press the gas, then I could ride the four wheeler.  They didn't think I was big enough, but I am!  And, I'm good at it too!

It's great to have the space for this.

Happy St. Patrick's Day from my Little Irish Boy - Speechless Sundays

I saw this shirt a couple of months ago and just couldn't resist it knowing that it was soon to be St. Patrick's Day.

Since he's still a bit young for the green beer ; ) he stuck to corned beef.

We hope that your St. patrick's Day brought you a bit o' the Irish.

I Love Where I Live - Speechless Sundays

Today was a beautiful, Southern California day so we decided to get together with some friends and go down to the tide pools in Corona del Mar.  It's amazing how many little creatures live in the ocean, and we walked with the kids from one pool to another looking for sea life and seeing anemones, crabs and other things.
To make it even better, where I live is just so gorgeous.

Tewinkle Park - Costa Mesa - Speechless Sundays

Tewinkle Park is a wonderful park located in the heart of Costa Mesa, CA across the street from the Orange County Fairgrounds and also across the street from the Volcom Skate Park and the Costa Mesa Bark Park.  In addition to the ponds and hills for walking and climbing, there is also the Angel's Playground for the kids.
Plus, it has amazing sunsets!

Newport Pier - Valentine's Day - Speechless Sundays

I was lucky to get a little time on Thursday with my Valentine while the boys were at school.  We had time to have lunch and take a walk on Newport Pier and enjoy a gorgeous Southern California day.

Raise Your Hand if You're Sure . . . Speechless Sundays

Raise your hand if you're sure that Angry Bird pajamas go with camouflage rain boots!

It was pajama day at school and a rainy day to go with it, so this is the outfit my little one came up with to safely stomp in puddles while fighting crazy constructs with cranky birds.

Toothless Wonder - Speechless Sundays

This little guy spent the week wondering when his second tooth would finally fall out so that he could plan for another visit from the Tooth Fairy.

I think he's enjoying the visits as it has only been a couple of weeks since his last visit from the Tooth Fairy.

On the Outside Looking in - Speechless Sundays

We were down at the Balboa Fun Zone when our friends decided to step in and grab a bite to eat before we continued our stroll.  When we went inside, my little one decided it would be more fun to look in on us.

I loved it with the ferris wheel in the background and the grin that came from his delight and being the one outside and looking in.
