We were happy to finally have our tio/uncle home for a couple of weeks after more than a year in the Middle East and to get a chance to reconnect and see that he is safe with our own eyes.

It's amazing what breeding and instinct can do for a dog. Our pup loves to fetch and fetch and fetch. Throw it in the water, it's all great fun. He will go and go until your arm is ready to fall off and then ask for more.

Well, maybe not exactly, but one of the nice amenities about Southern California is that you can surf in the morning and snowboard in the afternoon. Our beaches and our mountains are quite close together, and it doesn't matter what outdoor activity your prefer, we are likely to have it here.

Driving down the street the other day in Costa Mesa, I spotted Shaggy and Scooby's Mystery Machine in a local driveway. I just had to stop and grab a quick picture for posterity.
