I recently wrote a post about McKinney opening it's 5th Middle School for 2008-09 - Cockrill Middle School. With the new school comes controversy - the zoning. If you look at the map below, you will notice that areas EAST of 75 will need to be bused across town to the WEST side and vice versa. WHY? To encourage DIVERSITY? I think the letter posted on the petition website sums it up very nicely.
