Thunderbird Estates is one of the hidden gems of Colorado Springs. Don’t let that “Route 66” vintage entrance sign fool you; this is a highly desirable neighborhood.
  
There are homes built from the early 60’s to early 2000’s in every conceivable style and size.  No “McMansions” here, most of the lots are between a half and three quarters of an acre in size. The houses are typically nestled among trees.
 
The residents of the 100+ homes of Thunderbird Estates exemplify Colorado Springs hospitality. If you drive through the neighborhood expect welcoming waves and nods.

Just a short distance away is the Briargate Business campus. This campus and the area to the north is home to T-Mobile, USAA, Progressive Insurance, a FedEx tech center and numerous technology companies. It is also home for several non-profits including Compassion International and Focus on the Family.
The Rampart Range Campus of Pikes Peak Community College is about 3.5 miles to the north of The Estates at Summerfield.
It is less than 2 miles to I-25. The North gate entrance to the Air Force Academy is two exits north.
