I made a few calls to obtain estimates for a seller’s property that required work on a portion of the exterior siding. Fortunately, most of the folks I called were very responsive and were able to go out to the property to assess what work was required except for one handyman. This handyman called me and said he needed additional info about the siding. I didn’t have a problem with it until he said that I would need to call him back with the following info:

Although banks are approving short sales more now than in previous years, dealing with bank negotiators can still be frustrating for many of us. Some agents have stated they contact the negotiator once every couple of weeks for their short sale listings. In my experience, I have had to contact the negotiator more frequently than once every two weeks for most of the short sale transactions I have closed successfully particularly, when I’m dealing with the Jekyll/Hyde negotiator.

I was speaking with an agent today hasn't been able to keep in touch with some of his former clients serving overseas. For agents that have former clients in the military that are away from home, how about sending them a care package to let them know how you appreciate their service and that you are thinking about them?

After meeting with the buyers and scheduling an appointment to go look at homes later that week, I asked how they found me. The buyers found me online and I briefly told them about my blog and mentioned I hadn't blogged much due to being so busy. The buyers said my website offered helpful information but they had noticed my blog had been inactive and from their expression, I think they almost didn't call/hire me because of it!

Water supply may be overlooked by buyers when purchasing a home in Colorado Springs. Unless someone has their own well, homes in Colorado Springs are supplied with Municipal or Association/District water. Municipal water is provided by Colorado Springs Utilities while the water for newer areas such as east of Marksheffel Rd, is provided by Districts. One difference between the utility company and water districts is where the water comes from. For example, Colorado Springs Utilities provides water from reservoires while the Cherokee Metropolitan District's utilizes well water. There were 89 additional single family home sales in September 2009 when compared to September 2008. There were also an additional 1,195 single family homes for sale in September 2008.
The average ($214,848) and median ($189,900) sales price decreased when compared to the previous month. The average sale price decreased by $7,683 and the median sale price slightly decreased by $5,650. Homes sales increased by 8.4% in El Paso County for the month of July when compared to June 2009.
There were 60 additional single family home sales in July 2009 when compared to July 2008. There were also an additional 1,409 single family homes for sale in July 2008!
The average ($231,457) and median ($199,675) sales price increased when compared to the previous month of June and has been progressively increasing over the past few months.
