The closure to all traffic is necessary to complete the new electrical control system for the lift span. This will include installation, testing, and re-commissioning of the system. Motorists will need to seek alternative routes during the closures. Alternative crossings exist at Bridge of the Gods in Cascade Locks or The Dalles Bridge in The Dalles.
