The Hood River Bridge will have single-lane closures on January 31, 2020. The closure is due to repair inspections of the guardrails. The single-lane closures will begin at 9am and last until the repairs are completed.
Plan accordingly and expect minimal delays (10-15 minutes) with traffic backups. Flaggers will be assisting drivers as they proceed through the work zones. Drive safely and keep an eye out for workers.

The Hood River Bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic beginning at 9:30pm on April 9, 2019. The closure will last until 5am on April 10, 2019. The closure will occur again on April 10, 2019, beginning at 9:30pm, again lasting until 5am the next morning. The closure to all traffic is part of replacing the lift span motors.
Motorists will need to seek alternative routes during the closures. Alternative crossings exist at Bridge of the Gods in Cascade Locks or The Dalles Bridge in The Dalles. The Hood River Bridge will be closed at 5am on March 21, 2018, for maintenance work. During the closure, a full height lift will be performed while crews grease gears, trunnions, and cables. In addition, span guide slide joints will be lubricated.

Hood River Bridge - Traffic Alert for July 11, 2017 Postponed to July 14, 2017
Updated - The striping project on the Hood River Bridge has been changed to July 14, 2017.
There will be short lane closures to the Hood River and White Salmon bridge approaches on Friday, July 14, 2017. Port crews will be striping the pavement at both entry points from 5am to 6:30am. Minimal delays are expected as bridge crew members will direct traffic while the striping is being performed.
Drivers should avoid the wet paint.

There will be sporadic single lane closures on the Hood River Bridge, Tues, May 30 through Fri, June 2, 2017. Closures will begin at approximately 9am and end at approximately 3pm. Maintenance welding to the bridge deck will be performed by Hood River Port crews during the closures. Flaggers will be directing traffic. Please note, the work is weather dependent.
Travelers should plan for up to 20-minute delays during the designated time periods.

The Hood River-WhiteSalmon Bridge will experience traffic interruptions closures the week of Sept 12-16, 2016. Traffic delays of approximately 5 minutes can be expected between 9am and 3pm. Flaggers will be directing traffic while Port of Hood River personnel make bridge deck welding repairs. Traffic disruptions should be minimal, but plan accordingly.
This work is being completed while the weather remains favorable.
