The Hood River Bridge will be closed at 5 am on September 19, 2018, for maintenance work on the lift span. This will also occur at 5 am on September 26, 2018. The closure will affect traffic in both directions and is expected to last for 30-40 minutes. Please plan accordingly.

Here are recent price decreases in the Hood River County Real Estate market, including Cascade Locks, Hood River, and Mount Hood/Parkdale. These price decreases occurred from September 1 through September 15, 2018.
It is interesting to note some properties have had multiple price decreases while others have reduced price shortly after going on the market. This indicates the property was not priced at market, the market is in transition or both. Prices are softening with more competition due to more home inventory available for sale. If you are selling, it is critical to price your property correctly.

The Hood River Bridge will have intermittent single-lane closures on Tuesday, March 13, from 9am - 3pm. The closures are due to work crews doing winter clean-up work.
Closure delays are expected to be minimal. Please plan accordingly. Flaggers will be directing traffic on the bridge during the winter clean-up activity.
Emergency response vehicles will be able to use the bridge during the intermittent delays, if necessary.

The Hood River Bridge will be closed for fours hours, from 11pm to 3am the evening of October 24, 2017. The 4-hour complete closure will minimize daytime traffic impacts. The purpose of the late-night closure is for strain gage testing of the lift span.
Again, travelers should plan for a 4-hour closure of the entire bridge on Oct 24th from 11pm to 3am. The Port of Hood River is encouraging motorists to use the bridge crossing in The Dalles or Cascade Locks as alternative crossings during this time.
Emergency response vehicles will be able to use the bridge during the 4-hour closures, if necessary.

This is in addition to the hour-long closures scheduled for Oct 9, 2017, and Oct 10, 2017. The 4-hour complete closures these two evenings are to minimize daytime traffic impacts. The late-night closures are for strain gage testing of the lift span.
