Our oldest son, Sam, is a member of a local remote control flying club, Columbia Gorge Aeromodelers. Here are some prior blogs (CGA1, CGA2, CGA3) about Columbia Gorge Aeromodelers. Sam went out to fly earlier this afternoon, but had mechanical problems with the plane - a small screw for the wing attachment went missing. Can't fly without the wing.

Hood River Rotary presents Rotary Ski Fest at Mt Hood Meadows on January 17,2010. It is a fundraiser for Hood River Rotary's various charitable causes. Ten dollar Rotary lift tickets are good from 2pm through 9pm at Meadows. Usually Mt Hood Meadows closes at 4pm on Mondays, but is staying open until 9pm for the Hood River Rotary Ski Fest event.

Our sixth-grade son started youth wrestling last week and we found out he needed to have a sports physical before proceeding. One of his coaches gave him the schedule for the Mobile Health Unit, where he could get the sports physical for free. Wow. Can't beat that. I wanted to spread the word, so below is the schedule:
