The MLS* remarks say the home is in "Worthington Schools - Columbus taxes"
or an ad on a Central Ohio home online or in print says the home is in "Worthington Schools - Columbus taxes" ...What does that mean?

What does that mean? "Worthington Schools - Columbus Taxes" ...that means the home is in the City of Columbus (Columbus Corporation Limit) and the Worthington City School District. The Ohio school districts were set long before much of Central Ohio was developed. The school district boundaries existed and the area was largely rural. Is the "New Albany area" going to get a new school?
Not the Plain Local School District but the area near New Albany (with New Albany or Westerville mailing addresses ) but in the Columbus City School District. The area is described by the Columbus Dispatch as a "Win-Win Island." New Albany area residents (northeast Columbus neighborhoods in the Columbus City School District) go to schools which are a distance away. The children attend schools in Columbus schools which are (is?) on the other side of the Westerville City School District from their Far Northeast Columbus neighborhoods.

Indian Springs Elementary School is in the Columbus City School District, the largest school district in Central Ohio. Doing some research for a client recently I discovered the home we were discussing is in the Indian Springs Elementary School attendence area for the 2010 -2011 school year. Now this couple does not have children and I don't have children but we were still interested in what schools a house went to. Columbus Win-Win Agreement is on for 6 more years
Columbus Ohio May 31 is in the history books when it comes to the Win-Win agreement
The Columbus Dispatch has a great article to hang onto for about 4 or 5 years from now when we again have to remember the how and why of the Win-Win agreement. Actually local real estate agents are aware of school districts all the time.

"Worthington schools are not included"
In a history of the Win-Win agreement the Columbus Dispatch wrote "Worthington schools are not included"*
which says "1986: Win-Win agreement signed between Columbus and 10 suburban districts: Canal Winchester, Dublin, Gahanna-Jefferson, Groveport Madison, Hamilton, Hilliard, New Albany-Plain, Reynoldsburg, South-Western and Westerville. Because of the 1968 agreement, Worthington schools are not included."
Worthington already had an agreement with the Columbus school district and the city of Columbus. The Worthingon agreement goes back to 1968 and there was a land swap. The Budweiser brewery for neighborhoods south of the City of Worthington.

Hilliard Schools wasn't but will, or kids can.
Dublin Schools was not but will? Or kids can later if their teacher decides it fits the curriculum. If they want to. And if their parents want them to.
According to an article today in the Columbus Dispatch Hilliard had announced they would not but is going to allow children to watch and those whose parents want them shielded from the message to "opt out" of watching a televised speech to school children.

The Ohio Department of Education released their report cards for the 2008 - 2009 school year yesterday. You can look at a whole school district or a school building on the site.
