Upper Arlington a trip down memory "Lane"
I found list from 1951 Columbus restaurant directory from ColumbusChefs.com looking for any info on Arlane Restaurant shown in Don O'Brien's photo of Lane Avenue Shopping Center.

It looks like the Arlane Restaurant was between a flower shop and a photographers studio in the photograph. The 1951 list identifies the place as "Arlane Tea Room" and gives the address as "1689 W. Lane av (UA)" It is one of very few suburban locations on the list from a 1951 directory.

Upper Arlington - Lane Avenue about 1950... a trip down Memory Lane... there was a movie theater? called "The Lane"
If you look at the original size photo of Lane Avenue on Dok1's Flickr Photostream you can read the street sign and see you are standing on the lot just west of Chester Rd. looking south at shops on Lane Avenue including a movie theater. UA Archives Pictures of people, places, houses and more. UA Archives looks like a joint effort of the Upper Arlington Library, the Upper Arlington Historical Society and the Upper Arlington City School District.

It's Central Ohio, not just the City of Columbus. In the blurb from the Columbus Board of REALTORS the president of the board is quoted as saying:
"The month’s supply has dropped 30 percent from last year. Active (list) prices are not rising... as much... well except April and May 2009. I am paying more attention to the red line in the graph for Franklin County - homes sold, Franklin County home prices are rising.

Upper Arlington homes for sale - the stats and graph are for the Upper Arlington School District. I believe the numbers and graph for the City of Upper Arlington would be pretty similar unlike some other Central Ohio school districts where many homes are in unincorporated areas or in the City of Columbus.

Chili season is quickly coming to a close.... for me Chili is fall and winter and I am ready to leave winter behind. NOW. Lisa who blogs as Restaurant Widow, a popular Columbus food blog just recently was in a Chili Cook Off at the North Market (downtown Columbus) ...
