Worthington Proper means the City of Worthington... I think. I know I noticed hearing and seeing "Worthington Proper" when I moved to Central Ohio in 1990. You don't hear people talking Dublin Proper or Westerville Proper yet much of their school districts are outside of the Dublin and Westerville Corporation Limits. Or maybe you do... I don't.
I believe Worthington Proper means within the corporation limits of the City of Columbus. Because there is a vast expanse of Columbus in the Worthington schools as well as homes in unincorporated areas including the Village of Riverlea there are many Worthington area homes … (0 comments)

A photo taken for the Worthington News by Don O'Brien who grew up north of Worthington. He lived on W. Wilson Bridge Road which was out in the country in the 1930s, and 1940's.
O'Brien was a senior at Worthington High School in December 1941, when he took the photo he labeled "After the Pearl Harbor Attack. " A recent addition to O'Brien's Flickr Photostream he says of the photo:
"These are the first enlistees from the Worthington, Ohio area being sworn into the Navy. I photographed this event for the Worthington News."

I am reading a book...
I am reading a real honest to goodness print on paper book. I used to be a big book reader but I have not really read books in years. The title of the book , 'Worthington Neighborhoods' gives away that it is not a novel. The slim paperback was written by Jennie McCormick.
I bought the book at the Old Rectory, the historic property at 50 W. New England Avenue, the corner of New England and Oxford, The Doll Museum.

Worthington Schools earn A++ - actually the Worthington City School District as a whole earned "Excellent with Distinction"

OK the state does not give A,B,C, D, F and any + or _ (plus or minus)
Excellent with Distinction Excellent Effective Continuous Improvement Academic Watch Academic Emergency are the designations I believe....

Worthington Hills is a popular neighborhood in northern Franklin County. The homes built around the Worthington Hills golf course and the Worthington Hills County Club are sometimes dated. Other homes have been updated a time or two.... you just never know until you look at a home...
A buyer inquiring about a home used the phrase "Time Warp" on a call. The agent in my office shared the story telling us about the property...

There is no Sesame Street in the Worthington OH 43085 ZIP code... or Columbus OH 43085 for that matter. I used Google Maps to be sure.
Wouldn't Worthington area neighborhoods be easier to sort out if they weren't all named Worthington?

KY and WV already had theirs... their Arbor Day. The National Arbor Day Foundation's site says

The Ohio Historical Marker for St. John's Church in Worthington just east of the Village Green describes the historic church as "Saint John's Church of Worthington and Parts Adjacent."
Of course in 1803 "Parts Adjacent" to the Village of Worthington would have been even closer in than the "Parts Adjacent" to the City of Worthington now. I may start referring to the Worthington area as "Parts Adjacent."
The Village of Worthington streched from Morning to Evening Streets and from North Street to South Street.

Columbus is casual...
We could NOT get into Columbus Fish Market (Music alert!!!) on Valentines Day this year... either location.
We could NOT get into Mortons Columbus on Valentines Day this year... ( I tried to win a Valentines Day dinner...)

Cafe Anatolia is on the far north side of Columbus, in the Worthington area (north-east of Worthington, north of 270.) The restaurant's address is

The local Turkish restaurant, Cafe Anatolia has a website. An outdated website that does not do them justice but how important is a restaurant website. Just don't believe the menu prices.... the dinner menu online is probably two generations old. The excellent Shepherd Salad is now $9.99 for the large. It should be labeled a huge. We split one and I had the leftover salad for breakfast.
