summer in olympia: Real Estate Life - Show Houses Sunday/Make Jam on Wednesday

A real estate business means a schedule that is often a little out of the ordinary - seldom an 8-5 Monday - Friday kind of world. But that works fine for me, since many of my weeks look like this one: Sunday I was showing houses to two different sets of buyers - nice people and sunshine to make our outing pleasant. I don't always work on Sundays, but sometimes weekends are when buyers are available to house hunt. summer in olympia: First Day of Summer in Olympia.....

I know the calendar says that this is the first day of summer, but I woke up to a cloudy sky, and though we've had teaser periods of sunshine peaking through, the clouds have been lingering.
My car dashboard thermometer for outside temperature also registers a somewhat UN summery reading. (Yes, it does say 59)
But yes, this is the first day of summer - and the good part about living in Olympia is that pretty much everywhere you look is lush green (intermixed with glorious blooming shrubs and flowers). So, it's OK if today isn't all … (2 comments)
