North Carolina in October is typically our festival time for fairs and carnivals. The temps are mild, with above 50 after sunset and just cool enough to bring in the fall foods, fares and festivities ! Buying local is a fun part of the holidays with the trade shows, expos and arts/crafts bizarres. Theres so much to experience from local honey to hand made pottery, jewelry and soaps. I am not afraid of snakes but I am afraid of being bitten by one..poisonous or not ! This is a great photo put out on FB today by the Wilson County Sheriffs Office. Within the black outline is a Copperhead. This is easily something any of us could step on before realizing what happened ... Can you see it ???
I am sharing this because in Eastern NC we are beginning to drop foliage as our summer is ending and our temps are dropping. ( Well, at least into the 80's for now ) This is a time where snakes are more mobile looking for food … (10 comments)
