email glitches: An Annoying and Puzzling Glitch
- 04/26/14 09:07 AM
The last few days my email has gone whacko - why? I've spent a lot of time on the phone with both GoDaddy and the tech from Frontier - and each time we thought we had it solved, but didn't. When I try to send an email sometimes it goes out as expected. Other times (yesterday it was about 2/3 of the time) I get an error message. Messages vary: I need to enter a new password An unexplained error The connection to the server is no good And a few others... After talking with the GoDaddy tech I now have (15 comments)
email glitches: The case of the disappearing email...

Has anyone else experienced this problem? And if so, did you find a solution? Last week I went to my email to answer a note from a prospective client - and it wasn't there any more. This morning I had an inquiry about an agent bio from a new agent. I needed to get ready for a phone appointment, so didn't respond immediately. Later I went back to my email to answer her - and she's gone!

I'd noticed several weeks ago that some email from a friend was being sent in the morning and arriving in the afternoon. I thought maybe it was because he was forwarding things, or because he was mailing the same thing to a large number of people. Now, this week I'm getting notices of new comments on Active Rain - more than a day after I've read the (15 comments)
email glitches: The Mystery of How Computer Programs Think

When you send an email through Active Rain, do you have problems? I sure do. Here's how it goes... The little box pops up, already pre-populated with my email address. I write the message, try to decipher the garbled letters to enter to show that I'm a real person. Then I hit send. Then the message pops up saying "Invalid email address." So I start over and enter my other email address and the message goes through. Yesterday I decided to skip that step so I wouldn't have to decode those letters twice. Nope - "Invalid email address." So I started (9 comments)
