suspicious email: How do YOU avoid the "instant delete?"

A few minutes ago I got this email: Acct Id: writer@marte-cliff.com The download link and activation code associated with this account is now active and can be accessed here: WARNING: download link may expire without notice (Please DO NOT share this with anyone) Let's Work Together! -Jeffrey There's no way on earth that I'd click that link (which I have deactivated, by the way). But seeing this got me to thinking about the links I click and the links I don't. What makes me trust one email and not another? Is it (14 comments)
suspicious email: Suspicious email - what to do?

This morning I received an email that I know is bogus - but in what way? And what should I do? I captured it as a .jpg to put here, but AR says I can't do that right now. So - the jist of it was that it was an auto reply from an email I supposedly had sent under the subject line "Does Your Cause Need More Money?? The message itself was: Hi/Boujour I will be out of the office until June 1st returning to the office on June 2th if your matter is urgent please contact mbarclay.byc@gmail.com or byc@aibn.com.
