One should never underestimate the joy of learning something new. We have all had those “aha” moments.
When we take the time and make the effort to learn something new, become proficient at doing it, then we look back and wonder why it took so long for us to give it a try in the first place.
Our lives are actually the culmination of all of our “first-times” woven together into the fabric of our experience.
Never be afraid to try something new. The outcome can be exhilarating and the thrill long-lasting!

Whether you attribute the idiom to the Bible or Shakespeare or any other ancient source, the notion of “been there, done that” has been around for a long, long time.
But the real estate business has been in a state of flux the past few years and we as real estate professionals are often taken aback by something that we have never seen or heard before throughout the years of our previous experience.
We learn something new every day, and are often forced to forget it in a very short period of time.

Some might say that my observations are skewed by academic snobbery or a misguided attempt to demonstrate my own generational self-importance.
But I am often astounded by the increasing level of ignorance that I encounter on a day to day basis.
And it is NOT due to a lack of credentialed education. Many are college graduates and yet lack a basic understanding of economics, history, science or even simple arithmetic.
