Saturday April 6 2013 is Market Day in Newnan Georgia! The Old Courthouse Square will be transformed into a bazaar with vendors purveying local products, tasty treats, and unique and unusual crafts. In addition, the once a month event coincides with “Pickin’ on the Square” which provides a wonderful background of acoustic music. I will be playing on the East Courthouse Steps from 11:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. with some of my fellow music enthusiasts, so please come by and say hello. market day newnan: I’m going to Downtown Newnan today for some “Pickin’ on the Square!”

It’s the first Saturday of the month and that means two things in Downtown Newnan Georgia: It’s both “Market Day” AND “Pickin’ on the Square!” The first Saturday of every month is Market Day. Vendors set up booths around the historic courthouse and sell everything from fresh grown produce to locally made crafts. Also, the first and third Saturdays are earmarked for “Pickin’ on the Square,” and musicians from across the county entertain the crowd with a variety of acoustic music.
