I was out “in the county” yesterday previewing some properties. Coweta County Georgiais one of those locales that takes you directly from urban to rural is a few short miles. Much of the Eastern part of the county is Atlanta suburbia, with its accompanying tract houses and strip malls! Downtown Newnan is still classic small town America, with a center “Square” and shops, restaurants, and parks all within walking distance. I had a candid conversation with one of our buyers the other day. She is looking for a $40,000 house in a nice area that doesn’t need anything other than cosmetic repairs. Without really thinking, I told her that we had plenty of $40,000 houses that met her criteria but that they cost $80,000!
