Just ten short years ago Senoia Georgia was one of those sleepy little hamlets where they rolled up the sidewalks at 6 P.M. But now, nothing could be farther from the truth. A major revitalization effort in the downtown area has brought new nightlife to Coweta County’s southernmost city. There are new restaurants, new shops, and a whole new attitude about living in Senoia. It is still a small town, but now it’s also up and coming! If you haven’t been to Senoia for a while, I encourage you to plan a visit soon! It’s worth the trip!
Once, Senoia Georgia was a thriving mill town that prospered in the heyday of the textile industry. But when the mill closed, the town went into hibernation for about twenty-five years. All of that changed when housing developments began to spring up in the area at the turn of the 21st century. All of a sudden, the sleepy little town had a population that could support more viable businesses.

The annual Christmas Light up Senoia event for 2008 will take place in the historic downtown area on Saturday, December 6. The Christmas parade will begin at 5:00 P.M. The parade features floats, marching bands, and of course, the arrival of Santa Claus! Other planned activities include the official lighting of the city Christmas tree, food by local vendors, and lots of live music and performances! Santa's Secret Workshop will be open for the kids to purchase gifts on their own.! Parents may bring their own cameras to have their children's photos taken with Santa. Mrs. Claus will be there too!
