Snow in time for Christmas is a rare event in Newnan andCowetaCountyGeorgia. But it can happen and a few years back we had a significant snowfall on Christmas day. And while we will not experience a white Christmas in 2012, there is a slight chance for some wet flurries by next week. So although we will not need a sleigh to get around, we may enjoy a little Christmas atmosphere …literally! Here’s hoping that your Christmas weather is exactly what you want it to be! snow in coweta county: Oh no, it’s the “S” word again for this weekend in Georgia!

2010 was an interesting weather year in the state of Georgia and it looks like the trend is going to continue in 2011! We are expecting our second winter storm of the season late this weekend. After a record breaking 110 days of 90 degree plus temperatures in the summer of 2010, December in Georgia was one of the coldest on record. And we were treated to a white Christmas for the very first time, which was a fitting finale for the holiday season. As we face another icy blast of winter, I’ll make certain that we have plenty of hot (24 comments)

I wrote a post this morning: Crazy weather continues in Newnan Georgia ...but this is ridiculous! In which I was surprised at snowfall predictions in significant amounts. Since it was nearly 70 degrees yesterday, I doubted it! But I was wrong. It snowed to beat the band! There were times when it was snowing so hard you couldn't see across the street. So of course, I did what any good trooper would do ... I went out and took photos! So the snow came, I got some good shots, and all is well in Newnan Georgia! And even though I scoffed (29 comments)
