sprewell bluff state park: A Georgia treasure lost. Sprewell Bluff State Park is no more. - 08/13/12 09:04 PM

In the face of declining revenues, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources has decommissioned Sprewell Bluff State Park near Thomaston Georgia.
Although the property is still owned by the state there will no longer be any park facilities maintained by the state.
It is sad that the preservation of the natural legacy of Georgia is no longer a priority.
Although politicians claim to promote green solutions to environmental issues, they stand idly by as these treasures are lost one by one.
Perhaps Mother Nature should have placed these wonders closer to densely populated areas so there would have been more objections to closing … (23 comments)
