Saginaw, Texas is located in Tarrant County it was named in 1882 after Saginaw, Michigan. The city of Saginaw is 10 miles north of downtown Fort Worth. Saginaw was settled before the Civil War. Around 1936 the Burrus Mill and Elevator Company located in Saginaw. At the time the Burrus facility was built it was the largest grain elevator in Texas and the second largest in the nation.
