It looks as if we have a new scam here in Knoxville, TN. It's always best to check things out first, Beware the Scam!
KUB (for those that do not already live here, that is Knoxville Utilities Board) has issued a warning that their employees will not call and ask you for you credit card information!
KUB is advising customers that its representatives do not call asking for credit card or other personal information following reports Tuesday that someone posing as a KUB worker was seeking payment on delinquent bills by credit card.

If you haven't heard, it's homecoming weekend, and that means the UT Homecoming Parade on Friday (11/4) at 4 pm starting at "The Rock." There are a number of other events scheduled for Homecoming, culminating in the "Clash of the Tennesseans" on Saturday, with kickoff scheduled for 7 pm.

Imagine my surprise when I got home this afternoon. I had a visit from Wooky.
In the old bird feeder attached to a post of my deck was one of the woodpeckers that visits. About three years ago, a pair of woodpeckers started visiting the deck feeder. And, last summer (2010) I noticed the first juvenile was also visiting. I was so excited, I named him Wooky. All that time I have been trying to get a clear shot of the parents and Wooky, but the slightest movement sends them flying away.

My next stop along the Parade of Homes was to Jefferson Park, Knoxville TN. There were three upscale showcase homes here, in this amazing lakefront subdivision.
Jefferson Park is located west off of Northshore Drive, and is has wide-tree-lined boulevards. Homes are built with Southern elegance in mind, and amenities are in no way lacking.
