There are more things going on than Black Friday, here in Knoxville TN. Here's some Thanksgiving weekend fun, Knoxville Style! to start the Holiday Season for you.
Christmas in the City kicks off on Friday night at Market Square in downtown Knoxville. There will be events for three consecutive weekends.
The 27th Annual Fantasy of Trees has just opened up. This event benefits the East Tennessee Children's Hospital, and is held at the Knoxville Convention Center on the corner of Clinch and Henley Aves. This year's theme is "Rocking Round the Christmas Tree."

Wow! It's almost Friday, and I'm sitting here wondering where the week went? Did it seem to go by extra fast for you too? So, let's get to this weeks edition of Weekend Fun, Knoxville Style! under way.

Yeee Hawww! It's Friday, and that means it's time for the latest edition of Weekend Fun, Knoxville Style!
 
If you haven't heard, it's homecoming weekend, and that means the UT Homecoming Parade on Friday (11/4) at 4 pm starting at "The Rock." There are a number of other events scheduled for Homecoming, culminating in the "Clash of the Tennesseans" on Saturday, with kickoff scheduled for 7 pm.

If you're near Whittington Creek (along Northshore Dr), do stop in for the Whittington Creek Art Show. Once again, there are a lot of things to do, starting today, so let's get this ball rolling...
 
Who doesn't like to whine a little...whoops, that's who doesn't like WINE! Yes, head down to Knoxville Landing for Wine on the Water to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The weekend is almost here, and I'm posting my Weekend Fun, Knoxville Style posts a day early. If you love Festivals, we have FESTIVALS for you this weekend.
Let's start with GreekFest 2011, which started today! GreekFest 2011 will be held Sept. 23-25 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Kingston Pike.
On Saturday, Sept.24 is the HoLa Festival 2011. Celebrating Latino culture, HoLa Festival will be along Gay Street and West Depot Ave., from 11am to 8pm.
