Yesterday, on the way to a lake property in Glenwood I have listed for sale, I stopped to get a cup of coffee at Caribou Coffee. At checkout, Caribou has a pink handout about one of their coffees, Amy's Blend.Amy's Blend is a triibute to Amy Erickson, a pioneering member of the Caribou roasting team, whom Caribou lost to breast cancer in 1995. pelican lake: Information about Glenwood's Pelican Lake

Pelican Lake is a 519-acre lake located in central Pope County near Glenwood and Long Beach. The Lake is within the Chippewa River watershed with water entering Pelican Lake from Trapper's Run creek. Pelican Lake is connected to Lake Minnewaska via a heavily vegetated channel, which passes under State Highway 29. Most of the shoreline remains fairly undeveloped and is comprised of woodlands and marsh areas. A public access is located on the northeast corner of the lake.Pelican Lake is primarily managed for sunfish and largemouth bass, but walleyes are stocked to maintain a "bonus" fishery.
