realtor: Happy Birthday John Lennon - 10/09/09 03:32 AM

John Lennon
October 9, 1940- December 8, 1980

John Winston Lennon was born in Liverpool on this day in 1940. He would have been 69 today had he not been tragically murdered outside his hotel in Manhattan.

From the day he picked up his first guitar, the music world was never the same. As a founding member of the Beatles, John Lennon took music to new levels and led the way for a social and cultural revolution. Whether you agreed with his methodology or not, Lennon’s intentions evoked a simple philosophy:

realtor: 10 Stressful Jobs That Are Worth It - Real Estate Agents Come in at #7 - 08/25/09 12:40 PM

OK, so I'm not saving lives or fighting for my country's freedom.
No, I'm not growing the food that everyone relies on to survive, or molding the youth of today to become tomorrow's leaders.
But, as a Real Estate agent, I do serve a very valuable purpose. Simply put, I help people fulfill their dreams of home ownership.
And that, in its most basic terms, is why I LOVE what I do. The look on my clients faces when I hand them the keys at the closing table, or when I pull up to a home and hear their ooohs … (96 comments)

realtor: Say It With Pictures MeMe...Because You Asked For It!!! - 03/20/09 06:08 AM

I've been tagged!
OK, yet another MeMe is clogging the ActiveRain web site servers.
This one is called "Say It With Pictures MeMe"
While I'm not necessarily the biggest fan of the MeMe craze, this one is kind of fun. It's quite simple. All you have to do is fill in the "answer" to the 10 questions in picture form. It's also a lot easier than the last few MeMe's I was tagged for:
Seven Things About Me You Didn't Know (Or Were Afraid To Ask!) and
Yes Timmy, There is a Santa Claus...and a Christmas MeMe Too! I … (26 comments)

realtor: Sure A Trillion Dollars Is A Lot Of Money...But What Does It Really Look Like? - 03/13/09 03:59 AM

Sure a trillion dollars is a lot of money...But what does it really look like?
Well, here it is in number form...

That's a lot of zeros!
It's estimated that there are approximately one trillion plastic grocery bags dumped into our landfills annually...

Google has reported that there is now approximately one trillion web pages on the Internet.

But thankfully for you, my dear readers, in my continuing efforts to visit every web page ever created, I came across this one that really puts this trillion dollars thing into perspective.
Remember, I did … (21 comments)

realtor: Take a Deep Breath & Calm Down...The Cause of Your Stress Is Not What You Think! - 03/12/09 07:55 AM

OK, you're freaking out.
Your friends are seriously concerned about you.
I know because they all call me and tell me it's time I step in and help you.
Could it be that the stock market is as erratic as some of the political rhetoric out there?
Could it be that your 401K just plummeted 40%?
Could it be that the price of gas and food has skyrocketed lately?
Or could it be because your kid's friends look like these guys?

No! These are just the reasons your upset right now. The reason you're all stressed out … (28 comments)

realtor: Should You Even Consider Buying A Home Now? - 02/27/09 01:32 AM

Should you even consider buying a home now?
Simply put, if you are even thinking about it the answer is.....YES!
But why? Here are three very compelling reasons.... First off, interest rates are near all time lows. Next, home prices have declined to levels not seen in years. There are plenty of homes on the market today and sellers, if they really want to sell, are willing to negotiate. And, finally, first-time home buyers, if they qualify, are eligible for up to an $8,000 tax credit.Did you know that even if home prices were to decline 10% but also during … (9 comments)

realtor: Just a Little Something To Start Your Day....Or End It....Your Choice! - 01/05/09 12:12 AM

OK, I’ve been called everything from a "music snob" to being closed minded in my musical tastes.
I personally don’t think that’s true, as I listen to a very wide variety of music. Everything from Rock to Jazz, to the Blues and beyond is on my I-Pod.
While I do have my personal favorites (B. B. King, Neil Young, The Grateful Dead, The Beatles and Eric Clapton, immediately come to mind), I appreciate listening to new musicians whenever I'm turned on to one.
Well, here is an old musician that you probably heard of, but, perhaps, never really quite listened … (15 comments)

realtor: To Heck With New Year's Resolutions! 10 Things I Won't Be Doing In 2009! - 01/03/09 03:32 AM
With every new year that comes along, so comes a brand new set of New Year's resolutions.
Go on a diet. Quit smoking. Work harder. Spend more time with family. Exercise more.
These are the top 5 New Year's resolutions year after year. But how many of us really stick to it? And how many of us even make resolutions for the new year.
Year after year, my only resolution is to NOT make resolutions. If there's something I want or need to do, I don't need a special date to do it.
But this year I can … (36 comments)

I'm truly looking forward to 2009.
So, without further ado, I'd like to take this time to wish all my friends, family, co-workers and everyone who helped keep 2008 from being a total disaster, a very Happy New Year!
