relocation: If You Don't Know Brad Andersohn, You Don't Know ActiveRain - 11/19/08 02:58 AM
OK folks, every now and then, in between my musings, I like to write a blog just to acknowledge someone for a random act of kindness, a great blog they wrote, or just to thank them for whatever they did to help me in my quest for stardom.
This is one of those blogs and it is dedicated to Brad Andersohn, one of the community builders here on ActiveRain.

Recently I wrote a blog about the passing of a dear family member, my cousin Millie. I didn't write it for the points, or to get any special notoriety. I wrote … (7 comments)

relocation: YouTube, Photo Show and You! Create Videos of Your Photos for Free! - 11/07/08 11:36 AM
While geeking out this evening (Yes, I know it's Friday night. I need to get a life!), I had this inspiration to finally figure out how to post my listing photos and accompanying music to YouTube.
I know most buyers are not being culled from YouTube. The age demographic of a YouTuber is considerably younger than the average home buyer. However, I figured at 46 years young, if I know about YouTube, then certainly there are others in my age bracket who do too.
I looked on the Internet for varying FREE ways to perform this task. When it finally came … (35 comments)

relocation: The Raleigh-Cary-Apex North Carolina Area In Pictures - 10/22/08 04:46 AM
Slightly less than 7 years ago I moved from Long Island, NY to the little town of Apex, NC.

Apex is a small suburb of Raleigh and is located in the southwest portion of Wake County, adjacent to Cary.
Raleigh, Cary AND Apex have all won numerous accolades from CNN, Money magazine and Forbes (as well as others) for their charm, affordability, school system and, well, for just being a great place to live, prosper and raise a family!
Although I do miss my local NY newspaper, and seeing my NY sports teams regularly on the TV, the … (14 comments)

relocation: The Castles of Cary and Apex, NC - 10/16/08 01:36 AM
Even with the current economic crisis the nation is experiencing, the Cary and Apex areas of North Carolina are still doing fairly well. We have a strong economy here due to the fact that we're minutes from the Research Triangle Park, only moments from three major colleges, and just a short drive to downtown Raleigh where there are many government jobs still going strong.
There are currently over 40 million dollar plus homes on the market in just Cary and Apex alone, with more being built every day!
While I work with buyers and sellers in ALL price ranges, when I … (3 comments)

relocation: Happy Birthday Bob Weir! - 10/16/08 01:23 AM
Happy Birthday Bob Weir
Bob Weir, best known for being a founding member of the Grateful Dead, celebrates his 61st birthday today.
Weir, a singer, songwriter and musician, is, along with the Grateful Dead arguably the most recorded musician on the planet!
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to meet Weir on numerous occasions and each and every time he was most cordial. Whether it was backstage or poolside, whenever I saw him, Bobby always took the time with whoever came by to talk, share a joke or sign an autograph.

If you’ve never seen Bob Weir in … (6 comments)

OK, you're freaking out.
Your friends are seriously concerned about you.
I know because they all call me and tell me it's time I step in and help you.
Could it be that the stock market is as erratic as some of the political rhetoric out there?
Could it be that your 401K just plummeted 40%?
Could it be that the price of gas and food has skyrocketed lately?
Or could it be because your kid's friends look like these guys?

No! These are just the reasons your upset right now. The reason you're all stressed out … (24 comments)

relocation: Buying a New Laptop or Home PC? This Should Be the First Program You Install - 09/29/08 03:52 AM

Are you thinking of buying a new Home based PC or Laptop any time soon?
If you answered yes, then the first program you install should be the PC De-Crapifier!
This handy little utility safely removes all those annoying programs that are "bundled" with your new computer, some of which are just useless memory hogs slowing down your computing experience.
I've used this program on every computer I've purchased and it's wonderful. You can even use it on any of your existing computers, not just new ones.
It won't delete anything without prompting you first. So you don't have … (24 comments)
