Woodland Owners Conference in Menomonie this Saturday
  This Saturday Woodland Owners from around NW Wisconsin will be gathering to learn a little more about how to manage their forested lands.
  There will be foresters and other Natural Resource Professionals speaking and coaching folks on what is best for their forest and how to accomplish their forestland goals.

  I was watching Larry the cable guy on the History channel a few weeks ago.  They were up in Alaska trying to use a moose call to bring in some moose, and they were unsuccessful until one of the researchers brought out a chainsaw and started it up, and the moose came Running in.
 
  The head Wildlife Specialist at Woodland Management Service, Jesse Kulesa, always tells his clients that the best thing they can do to attract most wildlife is to do some cutting.

Madison Area Woodland Owner's Conference
Sat, February 23, 8am – 4pm
This year’s conference will be held at the American Family Insurance Training Headquarters - building A, American Family Drive, Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
All are welcome to join us for this winter conference. Topics will include invasive earthworms, drought and forest management, managing deer in woodland habitats, safety in your woodlands, woodland integrated invasive plant management, and marketing your timber in the current economy.   A few of you may have noticed Nick on Active Rain, although his only blog so far was featured, he has been too busy with school and work to write much.  Maybe if we get ahead here someday I will give him some time off to write a few more blogs.
