Goals Checkup - Are your 2017 Goals SMART and Balanced? Most of us should have our Goals set for 2017 by now and I am sure that all of you fine folks out in Active Rain land do, but that does not mean that we dont need to do a regular review of those goals. One of my goals for this year has been to spend at least an hour every Monday, pulling out my goals and plans and doing a review to see how I am doing and get back on track. Its that time of year, things are coming to a close for one year and gearing up for the next, time for a little reflection before we finalize those goals for next year. Time to decide what went right this past year, what went wrong, and what needs a little adjustment for next year. and of course, there are a few things from this year that would be best to eliminate next year. Keeping Your Eye On That Target Tree in the Distance I first started driving tractor when I was seven as many farm kids do and by the the time I left for college a decade later I had clocked an untold number of hours perfecting the art of working farm fields. One of the techniques that my father and grandfather taught me was how to split a large field by selecting a far off tree on the other side of the field and keeping one eye on this tree while keeping the other on what my tractor and machine were doing. Echosign Me Agreement, Creating a Business Plan Review Habit in the New Year I do have a lot of goals going on this year and if history repeats, some will be achieved and others will be forgotten or delayed. This year I want to improve my odds of achieving all of my goals and more by creating a new habit, the Weekly Plan Review Habit.
