The Old Abe State Trail a Chippewa Valley favorite
The Old Abe State Trail is one of my favorites in Wisconsin, for many reasons.
The first reason is that it is very close to our Cadott office of Woodland Management Service.
The second reason is the many spectacular views along the Chippewa River as you travel between two state parks in Chippewa County Wisconsin.
It is a conduit between the Chippewa River Trails system and the large Ice Age Trail that travels from the Southeast corner of Wisconsin to The Northwest Corner of the State.

Looking for something fun to do in the Chippewa Valley?  Check out the great trails in this part of the State.
We have three fantastic trails that offer great scenery, great exercise, and lots of family fun.
The first of these connecting trails will take you from Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Durand Wisconsin and covers 30 miles of Wisconsin history as it winds along the Chippewa River following an old railroad grade known as the Milwaukee Road.

The Red Cedar State Trail
This trail is the third trail and final trail that I will be talking about this week belonging to the Chippewa Valley Trail System.
You will encounter some superior scenery as this 14.5-mile rail trail shadows the steep walls of the Red Cedar Valley from Menomonie to its connection with the Chippewa River State Trail.
This trail passes through the communities of Irvington and Downsville and the Dunnville State Wildlife Area.
Summer time activities include Hiking and Bicycling,
