First Title presents the hard working women of the day!! It is done, we are finished. The East St. Tammany Habitat for Humanity work day is over. What a great day! We pulled the forms from the foundation. THAT was a challenge. The home we worked on was a raised home so the foundation was not a continuous slab. Those form boards were quite really hardto remove. Once that was done, we moved on to the cinder block pillars. We mixed cement and poured it into the cinder block pillars that had rebar and straps in them. What a wonderful laborious … (2 comments)

First Title presents the East St. Tammany Habitat for Humanity Women's Build event. This week is the official Women's Build week for Habitat for Humanity in the Slidell area. Tomorrow, I am participating in the build here. I have no idea where we will be working or what specifically I will be doing. I am participating as part of the E.C.O. Builders team and am very excited. If you've never volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, do consider it.
