just for fun: A WOMAN'S WEEK AT THE GYM - 08/28/08 12:12 PM
This is for all of out there who have started a work out regiment and felt like this. I only hope this makes you laugh half as hard as it made me. Dear Diary, For my birthday this year, my daughter (the dear) purchased a week of personal training at the local health club for me. Although I am still in great shape since being a high school football cheerleader 43 years ago, I decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and give it a try. I called the club and made my reservations with a personal trainer … (10 comments)

just for fun: Olympic fun... - 08/16/08 04:12 AM

I was just wondering what all the Olympic sports were and how long they have been in the games. Well here is what I found:
Archery1900-1912, 1920, Started again in 1972 and still in today
Badminton: since 1992 (I thought this one would have started earlier)
Baseball: Started 1992 to present
Basketball: started 1936
Basque pelota: 1900 and also 1928, 1968 and 1992. (So what is this? It is played on a court. There is a ball and a bat, but it is a long flat bat.)
Boxing: 1904-1908 then started again in 1920 to present

just for fun: Sorry I have a 2:00 already - 08/11/08 02:09 PM
On Sunday's I have a standing 2:00 appointment. I know as a Realtor, I should keep my weekends free, but I Keep this appointment every week to keep me sane. At 2pm that allows me time to work with someone in the morning. Sure if I really needed to, I would dog it off, but I try everything in the world not to.
My husband and I meet up with our friends at a local bar and grill for a late lunch and to catch up. We all then hop on our motorcycles and take a ride until 7:00 that evening. We … (1 comments)

just for fun: Caught them - 08/07/08 02:19 PM
I tell everyone that my cats think they are dogs. They love my dogs and always lay with them. Well as you other pet owners know....every time you get the camera out, they move! Well tonight as I sit here working, I have my phone with me and just so happen to have a camera on it. While it isn't the best photo, it will have to do. So now I have living proof that my cat loves my dog probably more then anyone in the house!

just for fun: Since it's Peach Season in the Carolina's - 08/07/08 02:04 PM
I thought I would share a Peach Cobbler Recipe. It is one of my favorite deserts and nothing brings you back to Grandma's kitchen like it. The perfect end to a good old fashioned fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn and sweet tea dinner if you ask me. The only way to improve on Peach Cobbler is to as some homemade vanilla ice cream...or peach ice cream if you want to go crazy!
Here it is:
Grilled Peach Cobbler
8 Peaches, peeled, pitted and halved
1 (11.3 oz) can of peach nectar
1/4 cup good peach schnapps
1/2 cup butter
2 cups of … (1 comments)

just for fun: Which one are you? - 08/02/08 04:15 PM
I get my normal weekly joke from my friend who loves to poke fun at me for being a Realtor. We have been friends since kindergarten, so it is ok. (She works for a plumbing company so the jokes on her field are unlimited and I send her stuff to)
BUT ANYWAY....I read this joke, and while it was funny, it got me thinking. Which one would I be?
Here is the joke:
Two real estate agents decided to start a new career to sell shoe. The two real estate agents goes to Africa to open up new markets. Three days after … (9 comments)

just for fun: I feel like this sometimes - 07/26/08 03:51 PM
This one just makes me smile. A man in Wisconsin had a problem with his lawn mower. So he took out his shot gun and took care of it. He has been charged with unlawful possession of a short barrel shot gun. He argued with officers saying that he could do that because it is his lawn mower and his yard.
You know this just makes me smile because there have been times where I am working with something and it won't work they way I want to and just feel like shooting it. I can't imagine the weight that was … (10 comments)

just for fun: Things that Make you go Hmmm - 07/11/08 05:19 AM
So it's Friday and I thought I would do something fun! So here you go!
The other day we were talking about running with Sicisor. You would think with all the warnings that you got as a child not to run with sissors, there would be more one eyed people running around.
Why do we park in a Driveway but drive on a Parkway?
Why Hawaii have Interstaes?
If the pen is mightier than the sword, and a picture is worth a thousand words, how dangerous is a fax?

just for fun: Oh NO...IT'S THE COPS! - 07/10/08 04:47 PM

So today I had the cops called on me today.
Don't worry I am not writing this from behind bars. I am a free woman. And no I didn't get to take a "FREE" ride in a police car today.
One of my sellers is out of town for a few days and they asked me to water the plants and check on the house. No problem since it is close to where I live.
So today I go over to take care of the plants. I also had to take car of a key issue that I had … (14 comments)

just for fun: Upstate Shakespeare Festival - 07/08/08 12:08 AM
The Upstate Shakespeare Festival is presenting a contemporary incarnation of Moliere's The Miser. And IT"S FREE!! The main character is a stingy French scrooge name Monsieur Harpagon, and will be played by a woman acting as a man. Should be pretty fun to watch. Anyway this French man is trying to marry off his children for money instead of love. They play is about the conspiring and conniving to get this done.
When? July 10-13, 17-20, 24-27 July 31 - Aug 3.
Time? 7pm
Where? Falls Park Downtown Greenville's West End (601 S. Main Street)

just for fun: First Concerts Part 2 - 07/07/08 03:21 PM
So I told you that it would follow and here it is. I am "the coolest aunt ever!" as per my nephew.
I am happy he had a great time and loved every minute of the concert. So now he can say he has been there, done that and bought the T-shirt and a CD. Of course he paid $4 more at the concert for the CD then he would at the store, but now he has a Motley Crue CD that came from Crue Fest.
I had a great time and loved going because it reminded me that I am … (2 comments)

just for fun: "Old Movies" - 07/01/08 03:13 AM
Today my nephew and I watched Forrest Gump. He had never seen it since it came out the year he was born. My husband and I were talking the night before and we had quoted something in the movie. It was kind of funny to see my 14 yr old nephew face when he looked at the adults at the table like we had two heads because he didn't know anything of the movie. I told him we had it and we could watch it he wanted to.
I had to laugh inside because I can remember looking at my adult … (5 comments)

just for fun: Myrtle Beach Bike Week going away? - 06/24/08 10:06 AM
I have been reading a lot about Myrtle Beach getting rid of both Bike Weeks. I have been to 2 so far. The first as a passenger and the 2nd as a rider. When we go we have a group of 8 to 10 couples and we go for 4-10 days depending on the time we can get off work.
I am hearing arguments that is doesn't bring money to the city. It is an inconvenience to the city etc.  Now being someone who lives in a community where they have a big festival right next to my house I understand … (3 comments)

just for fun: My New Helpers - 06/24/08 02:43 AM
So today I decided to work from home. I normally go to the office to do the administrative part of my business, but after looking at my schedule today, I decided to take my own advice...Do something for myself.
Well I couldn't completely blow off work, but I could do it from home to make dinner and do a few things around the house on my breaks. Plus I am doing my continuing ed online right now and there are less distractions here.
I will tell you that my dogs were the happiest they have been ever. They haven't been distracting … (3 comments)
