staging: Staging with my Kids

It's sad and Dr Laura would probably not approve but my kids know the terminology of my profession. They're 6 and 4. When I tell them we have to work after school, they'll ask, "Is it just a consultation or are we staging?" Indeed, "Do we have to work today?" is an often heard question when I pick my kids up from school. Such is the life of a working mom but not wanting her kids in daycare any more than necessary working mom. So actually, I'm not sure about Dr. Laura's opinion here. They're not in daycare. a great, dependable mover. When I went into home staging full time, I transitioned from doing flooring, counters, custom furniture and window treatments. I wanted out of that part of business because I was tired of managing the installers. Times were great for my installers. They were setting their own pricing, setting their own hours and choosing which jobs they wanted and which they didn't. I had great intsallers, don't get me wrong. But they were enjoying a booming housing market and most of them had never seen one end. So they went hunting. And fiishing. And snow boarding. A lot. And (6 comments)
