nashville videography: Developing the Script... - 10/18/11 09:19 AM
Developing the Script...     The development of the the script is as if not more important than branding. The script is the blueprint from which your video is built. One would never go about building a house without a blue print. Why build a video without a script? .       Next in the series -- Technical Components...

nashville videography: Finding a Videographer... - 09/05/11 10:55 PM
Finding a Videographer...              I have to start somewhere in this series, so why not start with a question from one of my subscribers.     While there are some video clips and segments you can do yourself, there are some that you will need to or should hire out to the professionals. These are as follows:      1 - Your video head shot that you put on your webpage or social media pages.      2 - The other is your 60 second "Video Teaser/Trailer" for your listing.      I may not have covered everything in the video. If you have any … (24 comments)

nashville videography: Creating Your Listing Trailer... - 08/19/11 09:00 AM
Creating Your Listing Trailer...     The main downside I see with amateur videos is that they are often way too long. While you may think that all the information you are putting in the video is important, your audience may think - BOR-RING!!! Don't bore your clients and prospective buyers with the details - you can do that later. The purpose of your video is to tease them enough to entice them to make the call. Here's how:      Introduce the subdivision or area. In this example I used a voice over while driving down the road. It could be as … (15 comments)

nashville videography: Branding... - 08/17/11 10:26 PM
Branding...     After the pilot which I posted on ActiveRain as "Pushing the Limits", I set about shooting a short video explaining the processes. As in the first video, I decided to follow suit and use the green screen and equipment as the backdrop. After all, this is a video business and I felt that it showed what I did.       Next in the series will be, writing the script...

nashville videography: Pushing the Limits... - 08/15/11 10:24 PM
Pushing the Limits...     I like video. But then, that's why I'm in the business. And being the person I am, I am constantly pushing the limits to see what I can do with this media / art form.      In a series of short videos I am shooting for my website geared around the 5 Step process involved in making videos, I decided to shoot a green screen using the green screen, lighting, and some gear as the back drop.     Needless to say, I really had fun keying this one. I hope you enjoy...

So Why Do YOU Need a Video Head Shot?     Today's real estate market, is divided into primarily 2 categories; those who use video and those who don't. Real estate agents will spend upwards of a few hundred dollars to get a good head shot to place on their business card; however, when it comes to their web page, most do not have a "video head shot" are missing the opportunity to gain market share.      So why do you need video head shot?           1) Your video head shot is your 24/7/365 sales person.           2) It gives potential customers an … (29 comments)

nashville videography: A Simple Guide to Better Listing Videos... - 08/03/11 09:33 PM
A Simple Guide to Better Listing Videos...     About a week ago, I wrote a post about the difference between video frames, pixel sizes and how they relate to videos. If you did not see the intro to this series, You can read about it here, "Pixels & Pixies".         Because the frame sizes are so different, most online real estate services use the Ken Burns effect in order to make the transition and show the picture in it's entirety. While this effect is okay, a steady diet of moving right, moving left and zooming in or out makes one feel … (44 comments)

nashville videography: (not so) Wordless Wednesday... - 07/26/11 09:57 PM
(not so) Wordless Wednesday...     Yay!!! I'ts hump day, and you know what that means. Yes! The rest of the week goes down hill from here. Didn't quite sound right but you know what I mean.      Anyway, today is the day where we let the pictures do the talking and we are to put a zip on the lip or at least curtail the use of the fimmers on the keyboard. But at least use 50 words in your post. While a picture is worth at least 999 words, a picture with no words is worth nothing. I really kills your … (21 comments)
