The new River Story Mandarin community is located along the St Johns River in Jacksonville, FL. As the only gated community along the St Johns River in Mandarin, these homes and lots are pricey, to say the least. There are currently no plans for any substantial community amenities. River Oaks Plantation in St Johns FL is a small community south of Fruit cove and next to Julington Creek Plantation. While it's technically not apart of the Julington Creek Plantation community development district, it does have access to the amenities in that CDD through an agreement. Mandarin is a neighborhood located in the southside community of Jacksonville FL. The neighborhood consists mostly of older homes built in from the 1960s to the 1980s but does have some newer residential tracts that have popped up in recent years. These new residential tracts are compromised of modern homes on smaller lots which is in contrast to the larger lots many of the older homes sit on. Durbin Crossing is a small non-gated development located in St Johns County to the south of Jacksonville FL. The community development district was established in 2003 and currently has over 2,500 single-family residences and townhomes. Riverside is a small community located in the Urban Core neighborhood of Jacksonville Florida. The designated historic community is mainly compromised of homes built before the 1930s. The community is largely residential but does have commercial areas including Five Points and King Street. King Street is the bar area of Riverside and is the hotspot for young military personnel stationed on NAS Jacksonville. There are multiple parks in the neighborhood including Memorial Park which is located on St Johns River.
