A group of friends and I gathered at Pee Wee golf last weekend and had an absolute blast. I've never played miniature golf and really didn't know what to expect. Well expect to have the time of your life because the course is entertaining and the location is superb.
Guerneville (pronounced gurn-ville) is located in West Sonoma County with the Russian River running through it. Redwood trees tower over the course, but I still managed to get a lot of sun throughout the day (hint, bring your sunscreen).

Anyone who knows me well, knows that I love to be near water whenever possible. It doesn't matter if it's an ocean, lake or river ... I love to be near it, in it or on it.
Yesterday my brother was here for a visit (from Oregon) and I was trying to figure out where we could go together that we hadn't been before. That list is pretty short as he visits his only favorite sister at least twice a year.

Kayaking in Sonoma County is a great way to spend the day, particularly during the summer months when it is hot. One of my favorite places to kayak is the Russian River. There are several beaches on the river where you can park your car, unload your kayak and paddle in the river all day at no charge!
