sunset: Sunset, Jacksonville Beach, 12/26/12

The weather was all over the place here on Wednesday: we started with sideways rain, and ended with sunshine and gusty winds...far better than other parts of the country, I'm sure. I managed this cool cloud at about sunset, not far from my house.
We spent the majority of the day at the boathouse: breakfast included grits, eggs, bacon, and fresh from the tree orange juice (there is nothing better then truly fresh squeezed fruit juice!), and since the Jaguars kicked off at 1pm, we decided to stay for the game (although why debatable). Gametime included grilled chicken wings, and of course, more oysters, and before we knew it, there it was sunset again. The picture above shows the approximately 600 SF boathhouse, with 2 bedrooms, a jack and jill bath, full kitchen (with apartment sized appliances) and living room. … (4 comments)
I spent last night on the St. John's River, at a friend's house. There were oysters being grilled and steamed, saltines, variations of hot sauce, and good company. There was a glitzy RV on premise, however, we opted to spend the night in the boathouse. The weather was fantastic, the sunset incredible, and the company fabulous. sunset: Venice Sunset Today

As the Italian adventure continues, we traveled to Murano today, and missed our vapporetto stop on the way back, due to a schedule change (we were not informed, for the record), and managed to catch this shot, which I LOVE the colors in - this will be one I get put on canvas and displayed as a memory of a fantastic trip!

sunset: Lido Beach Sunset

I'm having fun in Lido Beach/Sarasota this weekend, and shot some fabulous (or so I think) sunset pictures the other night....here's one worthy of posting - hope everyone is enjoying this incredible weather! I love having my phone with me to catch these opportunities!! There were at least two weddings on the beach since we've been here, and we've been having a great time catching up with our friend's daughter and her friends. Happy weekend!
