wilton: Wilton CT Tax Revaluations - How to Dispute
- 01/14/19 06:50 AM
2019 is here and all Wilton, CT home owners should have received their home's revaluation. As part of the Grand List revaluation, residential properties in Wilton is reassessed every 5 years. This is done to ensure equitable distribution of taxes based on the fair market value of homes.
In Wilton, property taxes account for more than 95% of the town's income and the value of homes has been found to be the most "fair" way to distribute the tax burden. Once the overall fair market value of homes is determined, taxes are then distributed to cover the allocated portion of the town (1 comments)

Gorgeous, contemporary condo located within walking distance to Wilton town center with shops, restaurants, a Starbucks, CVS, a movie theatre, a library and a Stop n’ Shop. The double-wide sidewalks on River Road (which runs along the Wilton Crest complex) are great for strolling into the center of town and are lined with trees and wrought-iron lamp posts.
One of the first things that we found really attractive and unique about this condominium is “the angles.” There are absolutely no square box-shaped rooms in the unit. Every ceiling is either a vaulted ceiling or has a (3 comments)

What a Wonderful and Fun MEET UP! The wet and dreary weather did not stop us from having a fantastic meet up this season! We had a good turnout with 12 energized participants. Conversation was interesting and the food delicious. Seafood, stuffed breads, sweet desserts and drinks were enjoyed by all. Debbie Gartner and Dagny decided to host together this time and see how it went. It went well! Debbie certainly brought along a lot of the NY crowd! YAY!
It's always fun to get all of us together, but even more fun when the crowd expands and includes some new blood. We (32 comments)

The clothing is handmade items made with vintage linens and other up-cycled fabrics. Mens' dress shirts and ties seem to be very popular. Southern Yankee creates all sorts of new things with old things!

SCOOPS was opened over 25 years ago in Wilton, CT by two local women who found a huge need for a place to go to take the kids for ice cream. Wilton had bookstores, florists, markets, banks, clothing and sports and hardware stores, but no "treat" stores. So, these two very good friends of mine named Care Heeks and Shelly Lawson opened one. What is it they say? Find a need, and fill it! That they did. All (22 comments)

wilton: Going Above and Beyond is Normal but FUN!
- 10/13/14 03:37 AM
Going Above and Beyond is Normal but FUN! I received a call from a gentleman the other day with a very thick accent. He was hard to understand because of his accent and he had a carload of very noisy kids, but he was able to communicate to me through words here and there that I could pick up on - he had found a dog, was in Ganby, VT, and wanted to locate the owner. He assumed the owners were in Ganby for the long weekend, and their dog had gotten loose somehow. He then gave me the address, (16 comments)
Four Winds Farm is perhaps one of the most beautiful communities in Wilton, CT. Boasting gracious and gleaming colonial farmhouses, it is located in a lovely South Wilton neighborhood. Until 1994, Four Winds was a very large farm, partly in Norwalk, but mostly in Wilton. In 2003 and 2004, the farm was divided into 15-20 lots. All the lots have been sold and developed, and all of the homes are very elegant and built with great attention to detail. Most have beautiful formal rooms, (1 comments)

What a Nice Compliment! But I Don't Have The Listing ... I called tonight for an appointment to show a home in Wilton tomorrow. I did not look up the homeowner's name, as it was an estate... it said to call the owner.... daughter? son? I figured that I didn't know whoever it was... Not a mistake - I did not know the "owner" - but they knew of me! I called, saying in my normal way, - "Hello this is Dagny of Dagny's Real Estate. May I show your home tomorrow----- ." The owner said, "Dagny! Of course! We know (16 comments)
