The Pinehurst and Southern Pines Area of North Carolina is filled with Christmas spirit and lots of Christmas events. The Pinehurst Hotel hosted the Festival of Trees this year with over 100 trees decorated and donated by local businesses to benefit The Sandhills Children's Center. Animal Advocates of Moore County hosted a free "Black and White" Affair to introduce to the public cats and dogs that need adopting. Each area community had Christmas Parades and tree lighting ceremonies. Christmas home tours took place in Southern Pines and Carthage. The Pinehurst Garden Club Members were armed with shovels, knee protectors, gardening gloves and hole diggers as they converged at the Pinehurst Village to do their biannual plantings. The mission of the club has successfully been accomplished in their quest to make Pinehurst one of the nicest places to visit in all of the US. Will home staging work? I just recently received a full price offer on my second property that was staged by a home staging professional. The biggest thing in the staging was the removal of some wallpaper, and the positiong of carpets to cover the floors on the lower level that was completely tiled. I beleive minor home staging aimed at a homes wekest areas ofen will pay of several times what the stging improvements cost.

Which is better? A home warranty or a home inspection. It probably depends on the condition and age of the home. More and more I think it is best to have a general contractor or a reliable handyman inspect the property and a home warranty to protect against unexpected bills that could occur during the first year after the purchase. When listing a home I also think it would be a good idea for a handyman make a quick once over on the home.
