Not surprising to those of us in the business, the Sun-Sentinel newspaper reported today that last month saw a rise in the Broward County, Fl. median home price (half of homes sold for less and half sold for more than the median price). The median rose to $280,000 in June, a 6% increase over the same month last year. The Greater Ft. Lauderdale Realtors board also reported that 1,425 homes were sold, a 5% jump from last year.
